JOB TITLE : Quality Manager (BE Station)

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB AND SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible within the allocated BE Station for the application of the Jacobs

The duties of a Quality Manager are set out below:
Ensuring that Quality Management for the portfolio of projects is in line with corporate procedures and objectives and complies with and supports BE corporate arrangements and liaising with the Jacobs Programme Quality / Improvement Manager on all relevant matters.
Developing the integration of Quality Management functions into all aspects of the allocated portfolio of projects and publicising the Quality Policy and company objectives within the projects team. Promoting understanding of the quality management integrated systems by undertaking training as required.
Assisting the Site Lead in measurement of project performance through Client Surveys and BE KPI performance assessment, including the maintenance of the Client Survey Schedule, and monitoring the effectiveness of actions for improvement.
Measuring the efficacy of the quality management integrated systems and practices required for the attainment and assurance of the quality requirements of ISO 9001:2008, ISO14001:2004, OHSAS 18001:2007, PER/PED, Nuclear Installations Act, Ionising Radiations Regulations and Radioactive Substances Act within the portfolio operations and reporting that efficacy regularly to the Site Lead and Jacobs Programme Quality / Improvement Manager. This includes:
The execution and performance of planned, periodic audits of the engineering, procurement and construction functions and activities, including suppliers and contractors when appropriate, and the maintenance of the associated Audit Schedule
The root cause analysis of trends revealed through audits and other verification activities, either via the Jacobs PIN System for ‘pre-deliverable’ engineering activities or the BE CAP System for all other activities.
Preparation and issue of Reports to communicate audit and root cause analysis results.
Providing for the efficient execution of all Quality Assurance commitments for the programme of projects. This includes:
Supporting the projects team by recording and analysis of Client Surveys and output
Input to vendor and contractor prequalification and tender review by review of suppliers’ and contractors’ quality arrangements to support procurement of services complying with the quality management systems
Review of Technical Requisitions of Criticality 1 and 2 raised to support Purchase Orders
Organisation, recording and analysis of Performance Improvement Notices (PIN’s) and CAP Systems actions as appropriate
Reviewing the Portfolio and Project Quality Plans in line with the client’s requirements and the Jacobs Quality management System.
Surveillance on the effectiveness of the BE Lessons Learned activities as part of the auditing function.
Surveillance on the effectiveness of Jacobs Value Plus activities as part of the auditing function.
Collation and maintenance of Suitably Qualified and Experienced Personnel (SQEP) records for the programme team to BE requirements, utilising an administrator.
Recommending to the Site Lead action to correct conditions adverse to quality, as and when necessary.
Participation through Quality Improvement or Performance Improvement Initiatives to actively promote continuous improvement, including maintenance of the associated Quarterly Improvement Plan.
Playing a lead role in assisting the Site Lead and Jacobs Programme Quality / Improvement Manager and procedure owners in further developing the portfolio of projects’ procedures and systems such that they meet Client objectives with respect to the development of Quality Assurance standards.
Any other reasonable activity as directed from time to time.
